Jason and Lauren Shorr have always believed that art has the power to connect people—to spaces, to stories, and to themselves. As a husband-and-wife team, their shared passion for art and education naturally evolved into a vision: a gallery where professional contemporary art could be experienced in a way that feels inspiring, welcoming, and meaningful. That vision became JL Shorr Gallery.

JL Shorr lives inside Zelienople’s newly renovated Corner Building, beneath the historic 1920s Town Clock that has long watched over Main Street. From this iconic location just north of Pittsburgh, the gallery brings nationally recognized and regional contemporary artists into a premier space designed to elevate both the artwork and the experience of encountering it.

At its heart, JL Shorr exists to do more than display art. The gallery showcases professional contemporary artists from Pittsburgh and beyond, while also inviting the community to engage with art on a deeper level—learning its stories, understanding its process, and discovering why it matters. Just as importantly, JL Shorr helps individuals curate their own spaces, guiding seasoned collectors and first-time buyers alike toward pieces that genuinely resonate with them.

JL Shorr Gallery is dedicated to helping those who love art not only view fine art, but truly experience it—connecting with its depth, appreciating its craft, and bringing it into their everyday lives.

For those inspired to create art themselves, Jason and Lauren extended that same philosophy into CURIO Art Studio, JL Shorr’s sister space. CURIO offers hands-on art exploration through thoughtfully designed classes and open studio experiences for all ages and skill levels.

Together, JL Shorr Gallery and CURIO Art Studio reflect Jason and Lauren Shorr’s ongoing commitment to cultivating the arts and fostering creativity throughout the Zelienople community—creating spaces where art is not only seen, but felt, shared, and lived.
