Life’s experiences and survival tactics are carried not just in memory, but in
flesh—layered, intertwined, and inescapable. The mass of bodies becomes both burden
and structure, suggesting that what we endure together shapes who we become, long
after the moment has passed. The Body Remembers is from the series Beneath the Surface, which explores the deep-rooted connections between plants and humans, including themes of communication, emotional bonds, and mutual reciprocity. Through these works, we are invited to reflect on how, as humans, we drifted from our innate sense of belonging within the natural world—a relationship once defined by harmony and interdependence.
